The beautiful mountains and valleys around Klosters are best explored on foot via the many marked hiking trails. Out of winter nature provides much to see from the colourful meadow and mountain flowers to the varied wildlife.
Routes are graded for difficulty and give approximate timings for the walks. This means you can choose a walk to suit your ability. The mountain railways and cable cars that run in the summer also enable you to walk in the higher mountains without having to climb all the way up and down them!
Just above Klosters take the relatively easy route beyond the Walser village of Monbiel to Alp Novai and enjoy stunning views of the Silvretta Glacier and surrounding mountains. Have lunch by the river or barbecue at one of the special camp fire sites.
The fabulous but more strenuous Madrisa-Rundtour takes you over the mountains from Klosters Dorf to the hamlet of Gargellen in Austria. This can be undertaken over 2 or 3 days and requires overnight accommodation en route and your passport!
These are just two examples of recommended hikes, but we can suggest many many more. If you wish to hike with a guide, then this can be easily arranged.
